I am originally from Palmer, Alaska, earned a degree in psychology from Adams State University, and have worked in both the construction industry (residential and industrial) and the food service industry. I met my wife in Scottsdale, AZ in early 2011 and we were married four months later. We have two little girls, the youngest was born in June 2015 and we currently reside in the San Tan Valley. This is my second year teaching mathematics after completing the STEP program at SCC, and I am one of the assistant wrestling coaches for PBHS.
I am a very eclectic person…I have a very wide range of hobbies including reading (mostly science fiction), chess, wrestling, fencing, video games, cooking (grilling is my favorite), mathematics (currently studying to become a professional knot theorist), mountain running, kendo, and weight lifting. My interests are varied as well, including economics, computer science/information theory, chemistry, literature, biology, engineering, sculpture, history of mathematics, game theory, world history, physics, and music. Above all, I love spending time with my family!
