Room Number: B106
Liz Morgan is enjoying her first year at Poston Butte High School, and is excited to be teaching Grade 12 English and Grade 11 Advanced Placement English Language and Composition. She is a graduate of Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development. After graduation she moved to Arizona to join the Arizona Teaching Fellows and earned her credentials in secondary English. Liz is committed to providing a well-balanced, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. She loves to incorporate students’ diverse interests in the lessons in order to capture their attention, and engage their imaginations. She aspires to improve their reading and writing skills, and instill an enduring love for literacy.
Liz has moved to San Tan Valley from Yuma, but is originally from Portland, Oregon. What she misses most about Oregon is the ocean and her new baby nephew, Miles. She has many interests outside of school, including spoiling her two dogs, reading (obviously), crochet, baking and traveling the world. Some places she has traveled to include Australia, Ireland, England, Italy, Spain, Ecuador - there are too many more to list. Liz is a super fan of the game of Rugby. Her favorite team is the New Zealand All Blacks, and when they play she has to wake up to watch them in the wee hours of the morning. Her dream job would be as tour manager or media relations for the NZ All Blacks because that way she could travel the world with the team and watch all the rugby games live.
