I spent a great deal of time traveling growing up since my dad was in the Air Force. This is why I love traveling so much. I also think that all of my experiences help me be a teacher who can share a great deal of life skills with her students. I really enjoy working in special education because there is so much to learn about all of the different disabilities. Also, each child is unique in the way they see the world and react to it. I think it’s important to teach kids not just the basics of their ABC’s but also how to handle themselves when they get beyond high school.I also think it’s important to send kids a message that learning is forever. It’s not just what you learn that is important, but that you keep on learning.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing tennis and taking pictures.
I think Poston Butte is a great place to be. I’m only in my first year of teaching and I really enjoy the support and family feeling that is present here. We have an amazing staff with great innovative ideas. Our students get a great education, not just academically but in life teachings as well.We are Bronco Strong!
