After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering, I worked from the ground up as a field engineer to become corporate executive overseeing worldwide design engineering, projects, and supply chain.  In 2010 I retired from industry to achieve my lifelong goal to become a teacher, by completing my master's degree in secondary STEM education at Arizona State University.
During my industry career I  was exposed to various cultures, having lived abroad in 4 continents  and traveled extensively to 6; with rich and authentic real-world experiences  I can share many of them with our young generation.
