Grade Level: Graduating Class of 2020
Freshman Class Counselor, Naviance Coordinator, ECAP Interface with District and Departments
I have been a part of the Florence Unified School District since 2003. I was elected as a School Board Member and served on the board from 2005 through 2010. I then worked as a long term substitute teacher within the district while I worked on my certification. I was hired by Dr. Richard in November of 2013 as an English teacher, with the goal of becoming a School Counselor.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as my teaching certificate. I will be beginning my Masters in School Counseling in the fall of 2014.
I will be working with students of PBHS on their future. My main goal is to make sure that students are guided in the right direction for a successful and positive future. I will be assisting students with college and career planning throughout their days at PBHS.
My husband and I have been married for 24 years and have four beautiful children. Our eldest daughter graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2016 with a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Media and a minor in Spanish, our eldest son attends ASU and will graduate in May of 2018 with a degree in Sustainability, and I am proud to say both obtained full academic scholarships. We also have two children that attend Poston Butte High School and are involved in CAVIT Fire Science as well as participating in Link Crew and on various athletic teams. All of our children are very active in athletics and my absolute favorite thing to do in life is watch them play sports.
I look forward to working with and meeting all of the amazing students at PBHS. We are a great school within a great community, most of all we are Bronco Strong!
